Hi thanks for sharing your experience. FYI, allopurinol is known to cause a gout attack which is why it is only taken at half strength, as it designed to force excess uric acid out of the body. Normally allopurinol should be taken with other medication such as synflex to reduce swelling and pain until the synflex starts to work. Only problem with allopurinol is that you have to take it daily and constantly.
